Today has been a typical early spring day in April here in Ottawa. It’s been a somewhat gloomy, relatively warm day here with showers on and off most of the day. April showers bring May flowers, or so they say. The temperature reached around 15oC, but the day has been damp and somewhat cool in feel, making my aches and pains somewhat worse than usual. I’ve stayed inside much of the day and just took it somewhat easy. Still feeling a bit under the weather, and my right shoulder and arm are hurting a lot.
It’s been a few weeks since the Friday night gamers played, because of the Easter weekend, but the players are gaming tonight; the players should be arriving within the next hour or so. They’ve told me they’re looking forward to tonight’s session.
The players will be continuing with their Doctor Who Roleplaying Game UNIT campaign this evening. The players are looking forward to playing the game tonight, and I’ve actually managed to get a little bit more work done on some future stuff for the campaign this week. Like I’ve said before, it’s very different than running a game set with a Time Lord and their companions aboard a TARDIS. That said, I am looking forward to running the game tonight. Should be a lot of fun.
In the meantime, I need to go upstairs and make myself something nice and hot for supper.

It’s been another once more atypical day in March here in Ottawa, relatively warm with a few showers on and off most of the day, and a few lovely sunny periods. The temperature has reached around 7oC, but the day has felt damp due to the rainy periods, and has been making my aches and pains somewhat worse than usual. I’ve stayed inside much of the day and just took it somewhat easy. Still feel a bit under the weather, and my right shoulder and arm are hurting a lot.
Normally, this would be the week off gaming with the Friday night group, but since next Friday is Good Friday of the Easter weekend, I’ll be gaming with the Friday night group this evening instead; the players should be arriving within the next hour or so. The players are looking forward to tonight’s session.

Getting Ready for Sunday Afternoon Gaming March 10, 2024

It’s a relatively cool day here in Ottawa, the temperature being around -2oC. It has been raining and snowing a bit off and on most of the night, and partially this morning,and is just a dim, gloomy day of grey outside. As I type this blog entry, the snow has started falling and stopped again. There is expected to be some 3-7 cms. of the white stuff today and overnight, and it’s also a bit blustery out there. Happy to be inside today. In the meantime, Daylight Savings Time started today, so I am quite exhausted and am feeling a bit under the weather and all as well. Possibly the health issues I’ve mentioned in other blog entries, but I think more due to the missing hour of sleep.
I’ll be gaming with the Sunday afternoon group today; the players should be arriving within the next hour or so. I hope. I’ll be getting the players to do the heavy, and not so heavy, lifting for me once more today since I don’t want to take a chance with how my stomach and lower body is feeling. Hopefully, the players are looking forward to this session.
The players will be continuing their Doctor Who Roleplaying Game campaign this afternoon. I’m quite looking forward to running the game this afternoon. Should be a lot of fun.
In the meantime, I need to get my act together for the and get ready to run the game. Then relax for a few moments.
