Happy Birthday, Phantom Girl!

Today is the birthday of my favourite member of the Legion of Super-Heroes.

According to the 1976 Super DC Calendar, in the 30th Century today will be the birthday of Phantom Girl! 🙂

Phantom Girl, a.k.a. Tinya Wazzo of the planet Bgztl (or Bgtzl, depending on your preference), was one of the first two members of the Legion admitted to the group by its founders Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl and Lightning Lad. (The other being Triplicate Girl.) Phantom Girl has had a few costumes based around the same thematic design over the years, but the one in the illo above is my all-time favourite. There is so much I could say about my affection, nay love, for the character over the years, but I’ll just say that Jo Nah (Ultra Boy) is one lucky dude!
